On Aug. 1, we will be voting for Deborah Lurie for Mercer Island School District School Board Position 4. We urge you to do the same. Deborah is the right person to take on this critical role. Not only is Deborah an involved parent, but she has devoted her professional life to child advocacy. She is curious, committed and has the skills to build consensus and resolution.

She devoted countless hours at Island Park to raising money, supporting events and programs, and developing meaningful relationships with the staff and administration. Combined with her experience as a former Mercer Island student and a King County public defender, Deborah is uniquely qualified to be an effective and meaningful member of the School Board.
