Once again, the Mercer Island community was unbelievable in its support of the MIHS marching band, this time for the students’ trip to London to participate in the New Year’s Day Parade on Jan. 1.

In addition to their wholehearted support for our student fundraisers (car wash, raffle, pin sales), many community members and groups went above and beyond, with contributions that made it possible for us to provide scholarships and cover additional trip expenses.

Special thanks go to the following supporters: the Mercer Island Rotary, Mercer Island Lions Club, Mercer Island Community Fund and Sahara Pizza.

The MIHS marching band was honored to represent this community on the world stage on Jan. 1. We couldn’t have done it without all of your support.
