I live in the south end of the island and drive Island Crest often. speeds of 45 MPH are not uncommon. I feel that we need more police presence and enforcement especially during the morning at 7 and on, and from 1 p.m. and on. Having lived here for 30+ years I have seen very few cars pulled over on Island Crest during those time periods. Until changes in crosswalks etc. can be made I feel a quick deterrent is MORE POLICE PRESENCE. A few traffic stops and tickets will be send a message to speeders.
