I am writing to endorse Benson Wong for re-election to the Mercer Island City Council. Since we moved to the Island, my husband and I have witnessed Benson’s commitment to public service and we wholeheartedly support him. As a parent of young children having a council member that cares about young families is important.

Benson feels that protecting and encouraging our youth is an important city responsibility. Benson has served on the Mercer Island Schools Foundation. He supported the Mercer Island Preschool Association at our 2017 Circus event. He works with the school district, PTAs and concerned parents to prioritize projects that involve safe routes to school. He has worked to get funding for school counselors. He serves on the Mercer Island Health Youth Initiative Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Prevention Action Team. He also serves on the MISD Superintendent’s Diversity Advisory Committee.

In short, he is all in for our families. Please vote for Benson Wong.
