I met Mr. Wong four years ago at the Mercer Island Farmer’s Market. He talked enthusiastically about the work he had done for the city of Mercer Island and his desire to serve its citizens. I was struck by Mr. Wong’s energy and how deeply he cared for our city. Since meeting Mr. Wong, I have graduated from Mercer Island High School and gone off to college.

Throughout this time, Mr. Wong has kept in touch with me and my family. He informs us about important city issues, asks for our feedback and, amazingly, finds time to catch up with all five of us. Not only does Mr. Wong work to help Mercer Island, but in the process of doing so, he is able to strengthen the sense of community for its residents.
