The Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce announced earlier in July that it was postponing its annual Art UnCorked event due to COVID-19 (coronavirus) concerns.
At the time, the chamber didn’t announce a new date.
This week, though, the organization confirmed that the event has now officially been rescheduled to Sept. 10, 2021, and will take place at the Greta Hackett Outdoor Sculpture Gallery. Since King County is currently in Phase 2, a gathering of Art UnCorked’s typical size is impossible to host in the summer of 2020 as originally planned.
“The chamber regrets having to make this decision but reminds all residents and visitors that Mercer Island Town Center is open for business, and most of the city’s parks are too, with proper COVID-19 precautions,” representatives added in a recent city press release.
