The other day I rode my bicycle from mid-Island to the business district to run a few errands. Without exaggeration, it seemed pervasive chemical odors wafted through the air every seven to eight houses-the unmistakable scent of tree spray, insect treatments and lawn applications. It was a bit shocking actually. The air was not fresh.
Those chemicals are toxins. They wash into the lake, settle on lawns where children and pets play and spread all over the beautiful gardens where birds, bees and other crucial insects dwell.
Please, won’t you consider going chemical free for the sake of our loved ones and beloved environs?
