Citizens thank Mercer Island Police Department for its service

Moms for Safe Mercer Island and Deputy Mayor David Rosenbaum recently provided lunch for the Mercer Island Police Department in recognition of National Police Week. “We are grateful and humbled to have the support of the community we serve,” reads a police statement on its Facebook page. In other police department news, its school resource officer program was recently awarded the Community Leadership Award at the Washington Association of School Administrators regional awards ceremony.
