Mercer Island City Council will hold three public hearings at its regular meeting on Nov. 19.
The hearings will focus on the 2025-2026 Preliminary Budget; interim regulations related to the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update and a bill for affordable housing capacity and requirements; and interim regulations in the city code related to permit processing.
Council held its first public hearing on the preliminary budget at its Oct. 15 meeting. The document is available for review at www.mercerisland.gov/budget.
The Nov. 19 meeting begins at 5 p.m. at the Mercer Island Community & Event Center and will be held in person and using Zoom.
The public will have the opportunity to comment during the public hearings by either attending in person, calling in, or logging onto the meeting via Zoom. Written comments may be submitted to the city by e-mail to council@mercerisland.gov until such time that the public hearing is adjourned.
