Mercer Island City Council is recruiting for five positions on the planning commission, with terms beginning on Jan. 1, 2025.

Planning commission members review policy and make recommendations related to land use and planning decisions for the community.

The commission will be comprised of two lay persons (no specific planning knowledge needed), one resident paid practitioner (Islanders who work in the industry) and two non-resident paid practitioners (anyone in the industry).
