Community can provide input regarding next school district superintendent

With Mercer Island School District Superintendent Donna Colosky retiring at the end of the 2021-22 school year, the school board is asking for community input with the selection of the next superintendent.

People can supply feedback on characteristics, skills, leadership qualities, important tasks to be accomplished and more through Oct. 8 on ThoughtExchange at https://tejoin.com/scroll/653671880. Participants’ thoughts and “stars” on ideas are confidential.

Colosky has spent 36 years working in public education, including the last four on Mercer Island, and wishes to spend more time with her family upon retiring.

In a May 12 online message to school district students, staff, families and the community, she noted, “It truly has been my honor and privilege to serve as your superintendent. The Island is such a special community that places tremendous value in public education.”
