The public is invited to the Mercer Island Chamber of Commerce membership luncheon at noon on Thursday, May 3, to listen to new Mercer Island Congressman Adam Smith.

After redistricting, Mercer Island is now part of the 9th District, which now extends from Tacoma to Kirkland. Congressman Smith, in his eighth term, is the Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, where he is a strong advocate for our military personnel and their families. He has also served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Bring your questions and join members of the Chamber as they get to know the Congressman.

The luncheon is from 12 to 1:15 p.m. on May 3 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center, located at 8236 S.E. 24th Street. Please RSVP to info@mercerislandchamberofcommerce.org or (206) 232-3404. The cost is $15 for Chamber members, and $20 for nonmembers. The deadline for reservations is 12 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1. It is the Chamber’s policy to bill for reservations not cancelled 24 hours in advance of the event.
