Costumes, color and culture abound during Island Park’s International Day

More than 500 people packed the Island Park Elementary gym at the end of May to celebrate International Day. There was a student fashion show of traditional costumes, Swedish dancing, a Korean percussion group and an appearance by the Lakeridge steel drum band. The event featured 21 different countries as students and their families learned about the various customs and lives of people from around the globe.
