Deacon Frank DeGirolamo will discuss “Signs of Hope in the Midst of Homelessness” at the Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s meeting on Nov. 1 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center, 8236 SE 24th St. The main meeting begins at 12:30 pm. Guests are always welcome.
Deacon DeGirolamo is the executive director of Operation Nightwatch, which serves the homeless community daily with food, shelter, housing and hope. In a typical year, the Seattle-based privately funded nonprofit — which was founded in 1967 — provides services to more than 4,000 individuals.
