Fraud: A resident in the 2900 block of 72nd Avenue Southeast reported potential fraud for work possibly not completed on their house.

Dec. 14

Theft: Theft from a thrift store donation bin was reported in the 7700 block of Southeast 34th Street.

Dec. 13

Fraud: A resident in the 9600 block of Southeast 36th Street reported that someone left them a voicemail while impersonating a Mercer Island Police Department officer.

Dec. 12

Theft: In the 3000 block of 80th Avenue Southeast, a resident reported that someone stole three packages from the central mail collection area.

Dec. 11

Malicious mischief: A resident in the 7400 block of North Mercer Way reported that someone damaged his vehicle’s window, possibly by shooting a pellet gun.

Vehicle theft: Someone stole a resident’s vehicle overnight in the 6900 block of Southeast Allen Street.

Theft: Someone stole alcohol and cigarettes from Rite Aid in the 3000 block of 78th Avenue Southeast.

Dec. 9

Hit-and-run: In a case currently under investigation, someone drove into a telephone pole and road sign and fled the scene in the 5300 block of Island Crest Way.

Attempted burglary: A driver of a vehicle attempted to gain access to coin slots but was unsuccessful at a business in the 2700 block of 80th Avenue Southeast.
