Mercer Island’s Youth and Family Services (YFS) Department is partnering with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) to bring its Mobile Office to the Mercer Island Community and Event Center parking lot (8236 SE 24th St.) from 1-4 p.m. this Dec. 4 and Feb. 5, 2025 and April 2, 2025 alongside the Hopelink Mobile Market. The DSHS Mobile Office offers consultations with DSHS staff to determine eligibility for public benefits, apply for programs and services, follow up on existing cases, and request EBT or reduced bus fare cards. Islanders can reach out to YFS staff with questions about this service and for additional resources at (206) 275-7657 or miyfs@mercerisland.gov. Photo courtesy of the city of Mercer Island
