Guy and Peggy Crow, of Mercer Island, are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Brian Crow, to Kathleen Chandler Schmid, daughter of Anita and the late Robbin Rexford Schmid, of Nashville, Tenn. Ms. Schmid is a 1997 graduate of University High School of Nashville and a 2001 graduate of Columbia University. Mr. Crow is a 1997 graduate of Mercer Island High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Both Mr. Crow and Ms. Schmid graduated from New York University Law School in 2007. The couple met in law school and live in Brooklyn, N.Y., where Mr. Crow is a public defender and Ms. Schmid works as a law clerk for Judge Michael H. Dollinger of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The wedding will take place in New York in October 2010.
