The family of Jared Kadish, the 18-year-old student who has been arrested and is expected to be charged in the crimes involving vandalism and hate graffiti at Northwest Yeshiva High School, St. Monica Catholic Church and Island Park Elementary School, has issued a statement regarding the actions of their son.
Statement of Brian Kadish and family:
“On behalf of my family and son, I wish to express our sorrow and grief to the victims of these vicious attacks against our community. Some of the wounds caused by our son’s actions are immediately evident. Others will no doubt be revealed over time, as our neighbors come to terms with the full impact of his offense. We are especially heartbroken over the impact on children who suffered a desecration of what should be places of safety and security.
It is our sincere desire to fully understand all the layers of destruction and hurt caused by our son so that we may make all possible effort to help repair our community.”
