* Mercer Island firefighters-EMTs Eric Gaines, Shane Gruger and Matthew Kennedy resuscitated an Island resident late last year and were recently recognized for providing lifesaving care from the King County Medical Program director.

* With 2021 being an election year, the city is offering a Prospective Council Candidate Workshop from 5-6:30 p.m. on April 15 on Zoom. Interested Mercer Island City Council candidates will learn about how the council/city manager form of government works, a councilmember’s role and responsibilities and more.
