First Friday ArtWalk set for April 4

Mercer Island’s First Friday ArtWalk will take place from 5-8 p.m. on April 4 at a host of locations. Participating locations include: Clarke & Clarke Art + Artifacts, MIVAL Gallery, Suzanne Zahr, Inc., Aljoya, Barrels Wine Bar, Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, John L. Scott and Coldwell Banker Bain. Opening night at Clarke & Clarke Art + Artifacts will feature a vibrant and colorful collaboration between mother and daughter artists Sharon Carr and Lindsey Carr (pictured). “The results are dynamic and colorful, energetic and uplifting. The works are their response to unsettling times while embracing light, movement and beauty,” according to a press release. SZ Gallery will mark its ninth anniversary and kickoff MENA Heritage Month with a month-long community-centric pop-up space by Ya Hala. Opening night will feature a food cart by Reem’s Kitchen, live oud music by Hanna, henna tattoos by Jolene and coffee, tea, mocktails and more. Courtesy photo
