The sale will feature more than 1,000 books on a variety of subjects as well as CDs, DVDs and puzzles.
The role of the Friends is to generate funds for the Mercer Island branch of the KCLS. Funds raised are used to sponsor a variety of events and programs, such as author appearances, children’s story times, teen discussions, opera appreciation and more. The Friends also support library events by purchasing special equipment needed for the events.
Book donations make the Friends’ sales possible. Donations are welcomed all year round, but especially now for this sale, at the library circulation desk during regular hours. In addition to books in saleable condition, they accept puzzles, DVD and Blu-Ray movies, music CDs and books on CD.
