A gas near the intersection of Island Crest Way and S.E. 63rd Street occurred Sunday, June 3, causing 63rd to be blocked off for a large part of the day.

A resident at the 8600 block of 63rd Street reported the leak at about 10 a.m. A two-inch diameter seal pipe was the source of the leak, but the cause is unknown.

Puget Sound Energy crews were on site to attend to the leak and fixed it by about 3 p.m.
