Mercer Island High School senior Eliot Yujae Geer has been awarded a National Merit $2,500 scholarship, according to a May 10 announcement by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Scholarships are supported by the corporation’s own funds and are awarded to the finalists in each state judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies.
