King County Elections certified the final results of the general election on Nov. 26.

Local races involved candidates in Congressional District 9 and Legislative District 41, both of which cover Mercer Island, and all the incumbents triumphed in the election.

In Congressional District 9, U.S. Rep. Adam Smith (D) finished with 65.44% of the votes (182,780) and defeated Melissa Chaudhry (D) with 32.44% (90,601).

In Legislative District 41, State Sen. Lisa Wellman (D) finished with 69.06% of the votes (51,903) and defeated Jaskaran Singh Sarao (R) with 30.74% (23,102).

Also in the 41st, State Rep. Pos. 1 Tana Senn (D) finished with 67.54% of the votes (50,823) and defeated Emily Tadlock (R) with 32.30% (24,305).

Finally in the 41st, State Rep. Pos. 2 My-Linh Thai (D) finished with 65.69% of the votes (49,577) and defeated Al Rosenthal (R) with 34.21% (25,821).
