Girls basketball improves to 3-0

Mercer Island girls basketball remained undefeated with a 61-55 win over Liberty Monday night at Liberty High School.

Mercer Island girls basketball remained undefeated while earning the team’s first KingCo victory with a 61-55 win over Liberty Monday night at Liberty High School. The Islanders improved to 3-0 this year.

Julia Blumenstein led the Islanders in scoring with 16 points, while Anna Luce had 14 and Jess Blakeslee contributed 9.

Next, the Islanders will take on Edmonds-Woodway at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11 at EWHS.
