I-90 overnight closure
Washington State Department of Transportation is planning an overnight closure of westbound Interstate 90 between Mercer Island and Seattle scheduled for Oct. 20. Westbound I-90 will be closed from Island Crest Way to the Seattle side beginning at 10 p.m. Oct. 20 and will reopen at 6 a.m. on Oct. 21.
Landis releases ‘Lauren in the Limelight’
Mercer Island author Miriam Landis will discuss her new book, “Lauren in the Limelight,” a story for the next generation of young dancers, with Nancy Pearl at 4 p.m. on Oct. 22 at Island Books, 3014 78th Ave. SE.
