An outbreak of hepatitis A in five states has been linked to Townsend Farms Organic Anti-Oxidant Blend, a frozen bag of berries sold at Costco stores.

There have been no cases in Washington, but Costco sells the product throughout the state and is urging shoppers who bought the product to be checked by their doctors.

The Washington State Department of Health advises anyone who bought the product not to eat it, and to discard any that remains.

Anyone who has eaten the product is urged to contact their health care provider, especially if there is the development of yellow eyes or skin, abdominal pain, diarrhea, pale stools or dark urine. Symptoms can begin up to seven weeks after exposure.
