Island Youth Ballet to perform ‘Excerpts from the Nutcracker’ Dec. 13-15

The dancers from Island Youth Ballet prepare for this weekend’s performance of “Excerpts from the Nutcracker.” Now in its 20th year of production, this cherished Mercer Island traditional show will be performed on Dec. 13 (5:30 p.m.), Dec. 14 (7 p.m.) and Dec. 15 (1 p.m. and 5 p.m.) at the Mercer Island High School Performing Arts Center (9100 SE 42nd St.). There will be free parking, holiday boutique shopping, sweet treats for purchase, and a Nutcracker photo booth to take photos with the dancers in costume.
