Nov. 25
THEFT: Patrol officers responded to an assisted care facility in the 9100 block of Fortuna Drive at 3:17 p.m. after a theft was reported. There was no evidence of a crime, but police generated an informational report. The facility said it would conduct its own investigation.
Dec. 10
BURGLARY: A kayak and accessories were reported stolen from a storage locker in the 9000 block of E. Shorewood Drive at 11:37 a.m.
THEFT: A motorcycle and bicycle were reported stolen from in front of a residence.
Dec. 11
TRAFFIC: Construction flaggers reported that a vehicle ignored their stop sign and drove in the wrong lane to bypass blocking construction vehicles, on a blind curve, at 11:15 a.m. in the 4300 block of W. Mercer Way.
PROWLING: A car was prowled overnight in the 7700 block of Sunset Highway. A credit card was taken, and purchases were made using the stolen card.
Dec. 12
FRAUD: A victim in the 4300 block of 91st Ave. SE reported at 5:16 p.m. that their phone account was charged for two iPhones delivered to a Bellevue hotel.
Crime statistics for November 2017
Every month, the police department calculates crime statistics and compares them to numbers from the year prior. In November 2017, there were 31 serious offenses, compared to 56 in 2016. The department saw four more cases of assault compared to the year prior, but fewer larceny and fraud cases. There were 16 adult arrests and no juvenile arrests in November 2017. Police arrested 18 adults and zero juveniles in 2016. There were 914 calls for service, compared to 1,178 in 2016.
