About a dozen representatives from Sound Transit, the Washington State Department of Transportation and the East Link light rail contractor and construction crews met with Islanders on July 13 to address their questions and concerns about the project.
In the next few weeks, drivers will start seeing surveying and construction equipment moving onto the Interstate 90 floating bridge before heavy construction begins. Crews will then begin retrofitting the floating bridge and begin work on the Mercer Island Station.
