The Islanders extended their KingCo record to 6-0 on Wednesday evening, after a 3-0 rout over Sammamish.
Mercer Island beat the Totems at home 25-8, 25-4 and 25-13, in solid and convincing fashion.
Lottie MacAulay had six kills during the game and six aces, most of which came from game two. Teammate Carly Wilson posted nine assists on the court, and four aces of her own.
Earlier in the week, the team beat Bellevue 3-0 for another league win. The Islanders had a solid game one, winning 25-10, but Bellevue provided more of a challenge in games two and three with 25-19 and 30-28 scores.
During those games, Lorial Yeadon had 11 kills and 12 digs, MacAulay posted six kills and three blocks, while Sara Lindquist had five kills and three aces. Kris Brackmann had five kills, Wilson posted 19 digs and Lindsey Horn had 12 digs.
The Islanders are 6-1 overall, currently sitting atop the KingCo standings. Mount Si, the No. 2 team, has a league record of 5-0, and an overall record of 8-3.
Mercer Island travels to Liberty on Monday, Sept. 26, before facing off with Mount Si on Thursday, Sept. 29 at home.
