Jewish teens take part in J-Serve volunteer day on Mercer Island

Approximately 90 teens spent Sunday volunteering for seven nonprofit organizations as part of J-Serve, the international day of Jewish teen service, coordinated by the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. Teens collected items for the Eastside Baby Corner at Mercer Island’s North-end QFC and Albertsons, helped with a Mother’s Day mailing at Hope Heart Institute, performed yard work at the Ravenna Kibbutz and Stroum Jewish Community School, and sorted clothing at Treehouse’s warehouse. This is the sixth year in which local teens have celebrated J-Serve through community service.
