Judge Gregory will discuss justice system at Oct. 3 Rotary meeting

Mercer Island Judge Jeff Gregory will discuss the current trends of the justice system on and around Mercer Island at the Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s meeting on Oct. 3 at the Mercer Island Community and Event Center, 8236 SE 24th St. The main meeting begins at 12:30 pm. Guests are always welcome.

Mercer Island City Council appointed Judge Gregory to the Mercer Island Municipal Court to begin service on Jan. 1, 2022.

He began his legal career as a deputy prosecuting attorney in the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office where he rose to the rank of senior deputy prosecuting attorney in 2008. He then opened a small law firm in Bellevue in 2010 where he provided criminal defense and family law services until 2014. He then worked as a public defender in the municipal courts throughout King County until 2019.

Since 2019, until his appointment as presiding judge in Mercer Island Court, he continued to provide pro tem services to many municipal and district courts throughout King County, including Mercer Island Municipal Court.
