Sharon Lee, executive director and founder of the Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI), will speak at the Rotary Club of Mercer Island’s April 20 meeting.

Lee oversees a staff of 250 at LIHI, a nonprofit organization based in Seattle and founded in 1991. LIHI develops and operates housing for low-income and homeless people and provides supportive services to assist residents in maintaining stable housing and increasing self-sufficiency. LIHI staff has developed more than 4,500 units of rental and homeownership housing and more than 2,400 units for families, singles and those with special needs.
