We the people of Mercer Island protest the noise/music pollution that is being broadcasted from the Virginia Mason Athletic Center (Seahawk Football Training Facility) located on the shores of Lake Washington. The Athletic Center is located near the northern border of Renton and directly across the lake from the southern end of Mercer Island.

We estimate approximately 2,000 citizens of Mercer Island are being bombarded and annoyed by the noise/music being generated from the Virginia Mason Athletic Center, even though we are approximately a mile away.

We protest that the decibel level of noise/music being played sounds like an inconsiderate neighbor’s temporary lapse of manners.

We protest the time of day the noise/music begins. As an example, on July 29, 2012, it began at 10 a.m. and it’s still going strong at 1 p.m. That, folks, is three hours straight!

We protest that the sleep of the young and elderly on Mercer Island is being violated.

We protest that the peace and quiet of the 2,000 citizens of Mercer Island is being violated.

We plead that the Seahawks administration reduce the decibel level to a point where just a murmur can be heard on Mercer Island.

Can the noise/music please be voluntarily lowered to a murmur before this petition gathers signatures?
