I had made numerous requests of the city to please clean the shoulders (not just the car lanes) of the Mercer Ways for safe cycling and pedestrians. And just last week, after braving all the debris the week(s) before — my answer arrived.

I had made numerous requests of the city to please clean the shoulders (not just the car lanes) of the Mercer Ways for safe cycling and pedestrians.

And just last week, after braving all the debris the week(s) before — my answer arrived. Clean sidewalks and shoulders on East, West and North Mercer Ways! WooHoo! Thank you Bill and City of Mercer Island Maintenance. It really makes a difference! Drivers win, cyclists win, and pedestrians win, thanks to your efforts.
