The “study” at the MICEC on Feb. 29 was for show only. It is obvious that the decisions have already been made to toll I-90, no matter what our objections are.
During the past few months, Tracy Vedder, from KOMO 4 TV, has shed much light on the shoddy construction of the new 520 leaking pontoons. Why should anyone have to pay for inferior work, as accepted by the DOT?
The eastbound lanes of the I-90 bridge were replaced with new pontoons, after the existing pontoons were drilled into and sank. The blame was placed on the contractor, by DOT. Too many lives would be affected if we are held hostage by a state that wastes more dollars than it can wisely spend.
