I’m writing to inform the people on Mercer Island of a wonderful senior golf program sponsored by the Parks and Recreation department. This program is for those wanting to play 9 or 18 holes. We depart every Monday (except holidays), April through October, with transportation provided and all tee times and schedules included.

A friend encouraged me to join though I’d never played the game, but at 82+ gathering all my equipment at the Mercer Island Thrift Shop (in case I was a dud), I hadn’t much outlay! I’ve put in eight-plus years. It’s great company, wonderful scenery, great lunches after 9 holes. So come on — give it a try; you’ll be glad you did. Call 275-7609 and check it out.
