Now I do not have to have the eyes of a chameleon to be able to more safely pull out onto Island Crest Way from 48th Street to go north. That is good!

On the other hand, I think it is/was a very big mistake not to continue the four lanes south until Merrimount with a right turn only there at Merrimount. Too much merging just north of Merrimount, as far as I am concerned. It seems to me like there is plenty of room immediately north of Merrimount to do what I suggest. Seems like maybe at least 1/4 of those going south there, immediately north of Merrimount, go right down Merrimount. As of now, they have to merge with all southbound traffic prematurely.
