Mercer Islanders need to congratulate Dave Menz for the excellent job he did in once more getting a marching band together for the Summer Celebration Parade. And we should also thank Mercer Island High School Director Bixby for supplying needed instruments for many of the musicians. Parade viewers enjoyed hearing music from a 64-piece marching band!
