The Washington State Liquor Control Board (WSLCB) has approved the filing of proposed supplemental rules that, if ultimately enacted, will help govern Washington state’s system of producing, processing and retailing recreational marijuana.
The board has determined that a maximum of 334 retail outlets will be allowed statewide. Per Initiative 502, the WSLCB retail store locations will be determined by using state population figures with a cap on the number of retail stores per county.
Given that formula, one outlet could be placed on Mercer Island.
