Medina has Washington’s most expensive homes

Medina’s 98039 ZIP code ranks among the top in Washington state in Forbes magazine’s list of the most expensive ZIP codes in the country. It is number 42. According to the magazine, the median home price (half cost more, half cost less) in ZIP code 98039 was $2.17 million, up 1 percent from last year, and the median household income was $132,665. The magazine said there are 60 homes on the market, and the average home is on the market for 265 days.

Medina’s 98039 ZIP code ranks among the top in Washington state in Forbes magazine’s list of the most expensive ZIP codes in the country. It is number 42.

According to the magazine, the median home price (half cost more, half cost less) in ZIP code 98039 was $2.17 million, up 1 percent from last year, and the median household income was $132,665. The magazine said there are 60 homes on the market, and the average home is on the market for 265 days.

Five Washington ZIP codes made the Forbes list. Mercer Island’s 98040 was No. 228 on the list, with a median home price of $1,003,328, down 7 percent from last year, and Forbes said the median household income in 98040 is $91,904.

Bellevue’s 98004 was No. 247 on the list, with a median home price of $952,566, down 2 percent from last year, and Forbes said the median household income in 98004 is $63,358.

Sammamish’s 98075 is No. 444 on the list with a median home price of $664,223, up 2 percent from last year, and Forbes didn’t have a median household income for 98075.

Fall City’s 98024 was No. 477 on the list with a median home price of $594,747, down 24 percent from last year, and Forbes said the median household income in 98024 is $62,076.

Duarte, Calif., ZIP code 91008, was first with a median home price of $4.3 million of the Forbes listing of 500 ZIP codes.
