The Mercer Island fastpitch earned a win over Bellevue in a KingCo showdown on Friday, April 26. The final score was 2-0 for the Islanders.

Neither team scored until the bottom of the third inning, when Mercer Island scored. The team scored again in the bottom of the fourth, the only runs in the game.

Natalie Ricklefs was 1-3 in the game with one run, hitting a double. Morgan Peyou pitched for all seven innings, giving up two hits and striking out four batters from Bellevue.

The Islanders will play at Hazen on Monday, April 29 at 4:30 p.m.
