The Mercer Island boys soccer team earned it’s first KingCo victory Tuesday night, beating Lake Washington at home 4-0.
The Islanders, now 3-0 this season, started the night with an unassisted goal by Alex Wood in the 35th minute. It was followed by another unassisted goal in the 42 minute by Jordan Morris. Six minutes later Alberto Perez connected with Morris to score the third goal. Another goal later in the game sealed the win for the Islanders. Nico Terentjev was credited with the shutout.
The Islanders will travel to face Juanita on Friday, March 23 in a 7:30 p.m. KingCo match. They they travel to Interlake on Tuesday, March 27, before hosting Bellevue on Friday, March 30.
