Mercer Island and three other Eastside cities were named some of America’s top “booming suburbs” by Coldwell Banker Real Estate.

Mercer Island, Cottage Lake, Sammamish and Maple Valley are all on the list, with Cottage Lake listed as the No. 1 city. Mercer Island came in at No. 5, just one place behind Sammamish.

Prairieville, La., outside of Baton Rouge, is No. 2, while Fruit Cove, Fla., is No. 3.
