The Mercer Island Little League team playing in the Western Regional tournament in California this week will face off against Oregon in the semifinals on Thursday night.
Mercer Island, representing Washington, enters the semis as the No. 1 seed team with a 4-0 record, while Oregon is the No. 4 seed with a 2-2 record.
The two teams played each other in the first game of the tournament, last Friday. Mercer Island won 6-4.
The winner of the game, which is slated for 8 p.m. on Thursday night, will advance to the championship game on Saturday, Aug. 11. The winner of the Oregon vs. Washington game will face the winner of the Idaho vs. Montana game which takes place at 2 p.m. on Thursday.
Both semifinal games will be broadcast on ESPN2 and online at ESPN3.com.
