A Mercer Island man charged last month with raping and paying a 15-year-old girl to have sex with him at a Kirkland condo pleaded not guilty today in King County Superior Court.

Jordan Church Lind, 49, is being held on $200,000 bond at the King County Jail.

Court documents indicate the man allegedly met the teenager at his Norkirk neighborhood residence, where he lived at the time of the alleged crime. He allegedly paid the girl for performing sexual acts on him on several occasions between January and February.

The girl also told Seattle police that she was involved with prostitution and had a female pimp who posted ads on Backpage.com.

Lind’s next hearing is scheduled for April 16.
