PROWLING: An unlocked vehicle was prowled in the 7400 block of W. Mercer Way at 1:11 p.m. A backpack was stolen from between the front seats. It contained several items, including a wallet and credit cards, for a loss of $760.
THEFT: A victim in the 9100 block of Fortuna Drive reported at 2:12 p.m. that their mother’s wedding ring was missing.

BLACKMAIL: A subject in the 3400 block of 74th Ave. SE said at 10:34 a.m. that they received a letter demanding payment via Bitcoin in exchange for not disclosing unspecified information.
Jan. 28
DEATH INVESTIGATION: A neighbor discovered a decedent while doing a welfare check in the 7400 block of SE 40th St. at 9:45 a.m. No evidence of suspicious circumstance was found.
THEFT: A victim’s motorcycle and accessories were reported stolen from a secured parking garage in the 7700 block of Sunset Highway at 4:33 p.m., for a loss of $10,000.
MISCHIEF: A victim in the 2600 block of 77th Ave. SE reported at 4:41 p.m. that their vehicle’s driver’s side door lock was damaged, resulting in a repair cost of $200.

BURGLARY: An in-progress residential burglary was reported in the 7800 block of 73rd Place at 12:30 p.m. The suspect was located and arrested.
