According to the police report, the thief stole a 32-inch television from the back of the car. The owner’s car alarm was activated, but he did not check on the alarm. Shoplifting An employee of Jacksons convenience store reported a shoplifting on May 2. Vandalism

A man reported that his Toyota Celica was damaged on the night of April 23. According to the police report, the car was parked in the 2900 block of 72nd Avenue S.E. When the man returned to his car he noticed that the side was dented with scratched paint. Estimated repair cost is $2,000.

A woman reported that her car was damaged while parked in a stall at Shorewood Apartments on April 21. According to the incident report, the woman left her car in the parking lot between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., when she returned to find that the passenger side front fender was scratched. There was yellow paint visible on the car. No witnesses were present.

A man living in the 5900 block of 77th Avenue S.E. reported that trees were cut down within his property without his permission on April 27. According to the police report, a case was made to document the incident and the parties involved.

Arrests

An Island man living in the 9600 block of S.E. 36th Street was arrested on a $1,000 misdemeanor warrant on May 5. According to the police report, the man was released from the Renton Jail and transported to the Issaquah Jail.

An Island woman was arrested for drunk driving in the 8100 block of North Mercer Way on May 1. According to the police report, the 24-year-old refused a standard field sobriety test. Her breathalyzer test showed she was over the legal limit. Officers booked the woman into the Issaquah Jail.

Police arrested a 16-year-old male for drunk driving in the 8600 block of S.E. 40th Street on May 3. According to the police report, the teen was pulled over for wandering between lanes. Police noticed a strong odor of intoxicants on the teen’s breath. The driver performed a standard field sobriety test, which he failed. He was arrested and released to his father.

An Island man called police to report that two men were fighting in Mercerdale Park on April 28. According to the police report, officers located the two men in the 3000 block of 77th Avenue S.E. One man was a North-end QFC security employee who said he had witnessed the other steal some items from the store. The security officer followed the man outside, where a short foot chase and fight ensued. The suspect, a minor, was handcuffed and arrested for possession of alcohol. He was booked into the Issaquah Jail.

Fraud

An Island man reported that he lost his credit card somewhere in downtown Seattle on April 28. According to the police report, charges were made on his card before he could cancel it.
