Mercer Island High School seniors Cody Hall and Anna Unutzer have been named the Rotary Islanders of April.

Hall is a member of the swim and dive team at MIHS, and is a dive coach in his spare time. He is the student coordinator for Youth Care and is helping to raise $20,000 for the Kim Long Charity Clinic in Hue, Vietnam. The son of Melinda Leclerca, he will attend Santa Clara University.

Unutzer is a clarinetist in the Wind Ensemble who performed in the 2012 Tournament of Roses Parade. She is also a tenor saxophonist in the Morning Jazz Band, National Honors Society member and Outdoors Club member. She ran with the MIHS cross country team from 2008 to 2012, and completed the 2012 Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon last year. The daughter of Jurgen and Christine Unutzer, she plans to major in medical anthropology and global health at the University of Washington and will continue on to medical school or graduate school in public health.
